Jones Road’s latest was made with the effortless makeup look in mind, according to Brown. “I’m a big fan of having an eyeshadow palette in your bag… But I find this easier,” she tells Prevention. “Whether you use a brush or a finger, put it on and gently blend it, and it stays in place all day.”
While the new Eyeshadow Stick is a solid staple for anyone to keep in their makeup bag, Brown says the formula makes it a particularly ideal eyeshadow for mature skin. “It’s a really good formula, [and] a forgiving formula if you have any kind of crepiniss on your eyes,” she explains. “It’s creamy, takes a second to blend, then it stays.”
To get the most out of the stick’s versatile formula, which is available in eight neutral shades, Brown suggests keeping three colors on hand. “My recommendation is a light, a medium, and a dark color,” she tells Prevention. The light shade makes a solid base or can double as a highlighter, while the medium shade “adds depth and definition without being too dark,” according to Brown. The darker shade can be layered on top of the medium shade to add even more depth to your look. “You could smudge it, and it almost looks like a soft, smoky eye,” she suggests. “For most people, choosing the right color makes everything easier.”
Like the rest of Jones Road’s lineup, the new sticks are formulated with nourishing ingredients that are gentle on sensitive skin, including vitamin E and antioxidants.
Prevention Deputy Digital Director, Emily Goldman, swears by the Cream shade to brighten eyes, and loves to layer a darker brown hue on top for date night to add some depth. “The formula is so amazing. Though super creamy, it stays in place—and I have combination skin, so that’s saying something,” she says.
Despite being a very new product, the rave reviews are already rolling in from shoppers, too. “Loved the creaminess of this stick. The color is buildable and blends beautifully,” wrote one reviewer. “My eyes are very sensitive, but these don’t irritate them at all. Bobbi hit a grand slam on these.”
Jones Road Beauty’s The Eyeshadow Stick is now available in eight shades, ranging from a light bone to a cool chocolate brown. Add it to your cart now, along with Brown’s other essential products below.
